If you’re looking for affordable accommodation that will give you a luxurious feel then Peace Love and Joy is your best bet.

Upon arriving, I was met with such warmth from the reception staff irrespective of the fact that I had booked my room an hour before check-in time. They assisted me thoroughly, even offered me a lift to the room (reception is located 5 min away from the units).

All units have a kitchenette and a private bathroom.

Tips: Bring your ID as proof of identification. Also, a damage deposit of R100 will be required at check-in and is reimbursed upon check-out.

The room is a deluxe double room. It isn’t too spacious but doesn’t feel cramped at the same time. A small work area with a desk is provided for guests. There’s a private bathroom with a shower, fresh towels and free toiletries. The kitchenette consists of a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and utensils.

LOCATION

The unit is situated in Walmer Park, 2.2km away from the beach. The place was easily accessible and easy to locate. The area is relatively safe but can get a bit busy during the day.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT EXPERIENCE

Both check-in and check-out were simple and didn’t require much effort from my side. The receptionists were extremely helpful and friendly.
